David D’Arcy reviews West of Memphis, a documentary investigation, into the wrongful murder convictions of three teenagers in 1994,  that screened at Sundance Film Festival 2012. The fourth film on the subject, this one is directed by Amy Berg, produced by Peter Jackson (Lord of the Rings) and his wife Fran Walsh, and by Damien Echols, who was on death row for the murders until last summer. Besides establishing the innocence of the original defendants (already shown in the Paradise Now Trilogy by Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky), it points a finger at the man who seems to be the murderer.
