Let me tell you Mr. President

img_12301The infrastructure really is crumbling. The state of I-25 from Santa Fe to Denver is poor. (At left, my tire, after a blowout.) In Las Animas county, a citizens group has organized opposition to a military plan to annex Pinon Canyon. The billboard reads, “25 million acres is enough.” The argument pits the interests of agriculture against the seizing of still more ground for military training maneuvers. These are lives (seeking to compel livelihoods), not abstractions. We will be covering these issues in-depth as we move to the full magazine site in June. Stay tuned. And watch for foreign objects on the roadway.
