When John Ford filmed in Monument Valley he actually reconstructed it to suit America's vision of the "Wild West." So says the website description for this film festival at MFA Boston: "In Ford's later films, however, he began to reevaluate his portrayal of Native Americans, explore their customs and culture, and to question the US Western expansion."
